Privacy audits
Many organizations were prepared for the legislation and have already implemented changes designed to comply. Policies and procedures are in place and the above privacy services don’t appear to be needed. However, management may now want assurance that the privacy processes are working effectively across the organization, or within one critical area. Our experienced team can conduct an audit independently, or work with the organization’s internal auditor, to answer the following questions:
Are company policies and procedures being complied with, and how effective are they?
Are complaints and inquiries being handled effectively? Is the organization learning from mistakes and managing change appropriately?
Based on recent cases, are company policies, practices and assumptions still valid
Was the “privacy project” designed to adequately address the legislation and issues within the organization? Did it meet its objectives?
Are third party service providers effectively complying with agreement terms and legislation to manage the information the organization shares with them?
