Managing Privacy in The Private Sector: New Strategies For Compliance
Dealing with privacy and access to information issues for the first time can be bewildering. First of all, the number of laws, standards, and jurisdictions in Alberta, Canada, and beyond the borders that you may encounter can be mind-numbing. But beyond this challenge, privacy compliance often forces you to look at and deal with information in your organization in a new way.
This workshop provides the basics of legislation and practices for implementing privacy and access programs in both private sector and government agencies in Alberta. You will be able to step back and get the big picture about how access and privacy works in our society and move in close to examine current “hot issues” and examples that you can apply to your own situation.

Cenera is delivering Freedom of Information and Privacy Act Training for Public Bodies in Alberta in 2010. This includes scheduled courses throughout the year in Edmonton and Calgary and on-site training that can be arranged at your own facility.
